Abdel Diab

Data Analyst

Abdel has served as Data Analyst at the MSU Research Foundation since 2022. In this role, he maintains in-house technology tools, ensures compliance with governance requirements, conducts research and analysis on portfolio companies, ensures data integrity, and manages updates to the Salesforce network.

Beginning his career as a senior auditor at KPMG, Abdel gained exposure to a range of industries, including oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, hotels and lodging, automotive, and Non-Governmental Organizations. He has also worked as an accounting manager at Scania and treasury analyst at Dart Container Corporation, where he managed investment portfolios and worked on various corporate finance projects, including cash management reporting.

Abdel received a scholarship to Central Michigan University (CMU), where he graduated with a master’s degree in economics. He has earned a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, passed the Level I Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam, and is actively pursuing further certifications.

With a wealth of experience in data analytics, finance, investment analysis, accounting, and data visualization, Abdel is a versatile and valuable asset to the MSU Research Foundation team.
